Video Demo: Proper Lifting Postures
Bending the back when lifting up an object is the most dangerous posture, you should:
- Lower your body by bending your knees to maintain a straight back posture.
- Keep the object close to the body before lifting it up.
- Use the strong muscles of your legs to raise up your body and the object while still maintaining a straight back.
- Use the same posture when setting down the object.
