Is there appropriate means for measuring the performance of staff regarding their health and safety responsibilities?
Review of individual staff members' safety performance during annual staff appraisal interviews can be regarded as the official means. However, other arrangements such as review during regular "one-on-one" staff meetings, correspondence through emails and memos etc are also regarded as appropriate means.
Goals and and expectations on safety performance should also be discussed and agreed with the staff concerned as part of the performance appraisal.
